Dear Sister,
This is the first of many letters I will write to you. There have been many tears and a lot of waiting for you to reach this point, but you are finally here! You took the pregnancy test, and you are pregnant! It has been a joy to see how the Lord has guided and taken care of you up until this point. The Lord never leaves us or forsakes us, and your life is a testimony of that.

The verse in Psalms that he gave to you as your hearts cry was “how long will I wait oh Lord.” His answer to you was, “Soon, my child!” Of course, it is not soon as in our desire of soon, but it was in his good and perfect will. God is good, his plans are good for us, not for harm. Jer 29:11 He knows what is best even when best does not seem like what we want or desire at the time.
Ephesians 1:4 says, “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love.” Before the beginning of time, God knew when your child would be conceived and what plan He had for your precious one. In love, God is creating your child in your womb. Psalm 139:5, “Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.”
My prayer for your little one is that the Lord now would enclose your child behind and before, that he would lay your hand upon your little one. There is much to be accomplished in the next 9 months before little bean enters this world. May he bless and protect you and your child with health and give you wisdom if trouble should arise. In this world, we will have trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome this world; it is what the Lord has promised us. Do not be afraid, my sister, for you are worth more than sparrows, and he watches over them and takes care of them.
On to practical things. The things that you will do for your child, you would have never done for yourself.
It is time to evaluate your life; you are not on your own anymore. Time to evaluate the risky behaviors in your life. The activities you are a part of, the food that you eat, exercise, etc. I will write you further about these subjects in a different letter. In terms of nausea, it is essential to keep pretzels or crackers nearby, such as by your bedside stand at night. Whenever you feel nauseated, eat a couple of bites of a cracker and drink some water. An empty stomach, combined with random foods or smells, can cause nausea. Take healthy snacks to work. Slowly cut down on caffeine intake. Try to close your eyes for a couple of minutes or go for a walk if the Sleepy Attack monster comes to visit while you are at work. Exercise for normal, healthy moms and babies is very beneficial. Walking about 20/30 mins a day can be helpful. All of these are useful suggestions, but also realize that women have been having babies for thousands of years, and somehow we have survived as a human race (by the grace of God). There are many changes ahead, but take each day one day at a time, and God will give you the strength to accomplish what needs to be done today.
Your worth is immeasurable. You have been bought at a price. You are loved.
Love,
Kayleen Moore
